Our Prayers
A Prayer for the Clergy and People.
Almighty and everlasting God, from whom cometh every good and perfect gift; Send down upon Pastor Bill and upon this Congregation, the healthful Spirit of thy grace; that they may truly please thee pour upon them the continual dew of thy blessing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honor of our Advocate and Mediator, Jesus Christ. Amen.
For Our Country.
ALMIGHTY God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will. Endue with wisdom those to whom we entrust the government, that there may be justice and peace at home. Amen.
Father, as we approach this election we understand the importance of discerning Your will amid the noise and confusion of political discourse. Grant us the gift of humility to listen with open hearts and minds to those whose opinions differ from our own. Grant us the gift to see beyond our own viewpoint and to seek the common good above our personal interests. Help us discern the values that honor Your kingdom and guide us in making decisions that reflect Your justice and compassion. Amen. For the Sick or Any Other Adversity:
And we most humbly beseech thee, of thy goodness, O Lord, to comfort and succor all those who, in this transitory life, are in trouble, sorrow, need, sickness, or any other adversity. Especially Andy, Mary Jo, Judy, Joani, Jean, Karen, Ruby, Katy, Bill & Ann, Deward & Ruth, Anne, Brian, Kirk, Dennis, David, Miti, Louella, April, David, Gib, Sr Terri, Sr Anne. the Injured, Dead, Missing and their families from Helene ad Milton. Amen
Grant these our prayers, O Father, for Jesus Christ’s sake, our only Mediator and Advocate. Amen.

And we also bless thy holy Name for all thy servants departed this life in thy faith and fear, beseeching thee to grant them continual growth in thy love and service; and to grant us grace so to follow the good examples of all thy saints, that with them we may be partakers of thy heavenly kingdom. Especially we pray for: Amen
